Environmental Consciousness
As a chemical company, our considerations for the surrounding environment have a very high priority.
Environmental considerations are an integrated part of our every day work at FeF Chemicals. Our main environmental concerns include reducing atmospheric emissions of organic solvents from the production process and carbon dioxide and nitrogen oxide from the production of energy. It is our aim to reduce our environmental impact by developing environmentally safe processes, optimising effective resource utilisation and minimising discharge and waste.
FeF Chemicals has implemented an environmental system according to DS/EN ISO 14001, under which the Danish Standards Association carries out annual inspections of the company.
We have implemented an Environmental Policy and act in accordance with the environmental legislation and other declarations of intent with which we are affiliated, such as the ICC Business Charter. We also maintain an open dialogue with environmental authorities and report continuously on our environmental performance - these figures can be seen in our Environmental and Social report.
We focus continuously on improving our environmental efforts. Our objectives and regular reviews of the environmental impact of our activities enable us to prepare, implement and subsequently evaluate the effect of our environmental action plans.
FeF Chemicals has a dedicated Environmental Department, and we encourage the environmental consciousness of our staff by ensuring that each member has the necessary skills and knowledge to minimise environmental impact while on the job.
